New Members : Xiao Han (EPFL, J. Aru’s Group), Tiancheng He (UNIGE, H. Duminil-Copin’s Group) & Wenhao Zhao (EPFL, M. Hairer’s Group)

26 Oct 2023

Xiao had his bachelor’s degree in Peking University and his master’s degree in EPFL (both in Mathematics). His bachelor thesis is on Cover time and random interlacements and his master thesis is on Boolean functions and Fourier-Entropy-Influence conjecture. He still has interests in Cover time and Boolean functions while his current study are mostly on lattice models, random geometry and especially on Spin O(n) model. Topics on Probability and Combinatorics especially discrete ones are his general interests.

Tiancheng is a formal student of the École Normale Supérieure de Paris. He received a bachelor’s degree from Peking University and a master’s degree from the University Paris-Saclay. He then started a PhD under the supervision of Hugo Duminil-Copin. His research interests are in probability and statistical physics, especially percolation and random cluster model.

Wenhao got his bachelor's degree from Peking University and is now a PhD student at EPFL in the group of professor Martin Hairer. He is mainly interested in the study of stochastic partial differential equations, in particular the large scale and long time behavior of the models.
