New member: Jules Martel-Tordjman (UZH, A. Beliakova's Group)

11 Oct 2022

Welcome to our new Postdoc member: Jules Martel-Tordjman (UZH, A. Beliakova's Group).

Jules did his PhD in Toulouse (France) under the supervision of Pr. F. Costantino, then one year at Max Planck Institut, Bonn (Germany) and one in Université de Bourgogne, Dijon (France).

His research is in low dimensional topology, typically the study of objects such as braids, knots, 3 and 4 dimensional manifolds or mapping class groups of surfaces, and relations between them. He comes from quantum topology, namely the building of topological invariants from quantum algebras. Nevertheless, one of his objective is to recover these rich constructions from homology of some manifolds such as configuration spaces of surfaces so to make these invariants talk.

Phase I & II research project(s)
