“Math’émerveille" (Les Diablerets, 29 Oct)

13 Oct 2022

“Math’émerveille – Même pas peur des math” is our upcoming general public outreach event which will take place at the  SwissMAP Research Station (SRS) in Les Diablerets on Saturday 29th October 2022.

This mathematical festival will come at the end of a week-long conference Let’s talk about outreach! dedicated to popularizing mathematics. Over the week, about thirty renowned people from different countries (Switzerland, France, Germany, UK, USA, Italy) will share their experiences, reflect on the existing outreach practices, develop new activities and hopefully plant the seeds of long-term projects.

Saturday 29th October will be the last day and the occasion to present to the general public both existing and new activities, coming from different countries and cultures, to spread the enthusiasm for mathematics. In a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, people will be able to stroll through stands, discover an exhibition about games, listen to the mathematics behind juggling (and try it), escape Euler's room... and enjoy many more mathematical interactive curiosities brought and presented by our participants.

We would be delighted if you could join us with your friends and family for this event!

Place: Les Diablerets
Date: 29.10.22
Time: 11:00 to 18:00

Entrance is free!
