Women in Mathematical Physics

3 Jul 2019

Our former member, Nezhla Aghaei (University of Bern, S. Reffert Group) is organizing the Women in Mathematical Physics Workshop, BIRS, Banff (Alberta, Canada), 20-25th September 2020.

Mathematical Physics is an interdisciplinary topic at the crossroads of pure mathematics and theoretical physics.

The workshop will consist of talks and discussions in the direction where mathematical rigor and physical intuition will merge in a natural way. It will bring senior and junior female mathematical physicists together to explore topics of common interest and thereby expand the mentorship networks of female mathematical physicists. It will also work on research open problems of high interest concerning mathematical aspects of string theory and quantum gravity.
