2 Jun 2025

We are delighted to share that the recordings from this year's Journée Georges de Rham are now available online!

This annual scientific event, held alternately by the University of Geneva and EPFL, is named after Georges de Rham, one of the great Swiss mathematicians of the 20th century. Established in 1991, it has become a long-standing tradition that brings together leading minds in mathematics and related fields and celebrates mathematics in all its beauty and breadth.

This year's distinguished speakers were:

Ronald Coifman (Yale University) Talk: Mathematical Orchestrations: Revealing and Encoding Hidden Structures in Empirical Data

Terrence Sejnowski (Salk Institute & UC San Diego) Talk: Brains and AI

Phase III direction(s)

  • Statistical Mechanics and Random Structures
  • Spectral gap problems in non-perturbative quantum theory
  • Differential equations of Mathematical Physics
  • Holography and bulk-boundary correspondence
  • Quantum information and many body theory
  • From Field Theory to Geometry and Topology

AnaLogique : ce qui se cache derrière le raisonnement mathématique (UNIGE, 25.06)
