New member: Claudia Rella (UNIGE, M. Mariño's Group)

21 Sep 2021

Welcome to our new PhD member Claudia Rella (UNIGE, M. Mariño's Group).

Claudia obtained her BSc in Physics at the University of Rome La Sapienza in 2018 and her MSc in Mathematical and Theoretical Physics at the University of Oxford in 2019. During her masters, she worked on the application of motivic Galois theory to the study of Feynman integrals in perturbative QFT under the supervision of Prof. Francis Brown. In 2019-20, she took part in the SwissMAP Master Class in Mathematical Physics at the University of Geneva, where she worked on the restrictions placed by beyond-positivity bounds on theories of modified gravity under the supervision of Prof. Francesco Riva.

She is currently a PhD candidate in Mathematical Physics in the research group of Prof. Marcos Marino at the Department of Theoretical Physics of the University of Geneva, funded by the ERC Synergy Grant ReNewQuantum. She is studying the non-perturbative content of topological string models using the theory of resurgence with the long-term aim of investigating the interplay of quantum field theory and string theory with algebraic geometry and topology.
