Autumn 2020 Campus Junior Magazine “The Magic of Maths”’ (FR)

23 Nov 2020

We invite you to read the Autumn 2020 Campus Junior Magazine “The Magic of Maths”’ (FR). Campus Junior is the scientific magazine of the University of Geneva for children from 8 to 12 years old and, at the occasion of Colloque Wright, our members Shaula Fiorelli, Élise Raphael, Hugo Duminil-Copin, Louis-Hadrien Robert, Yvan Velenik and Sandy Moody from Mathscope contributed to the special issue dedicated to mathematics. This issue includes comics, captivating games, problems & solutions as well as a special article: “Mathematics and Arts” about how artists often use mathematics in their creations. For this article our outreach Officer Shaula Fiorelli, proposes three examples of outside sculptures in Geneva and Lausanne which were inspired by geometry or mathematical forms.
