Low Dimensional Quantum Many Body Systems Workshop (July 12-16)

31 May 2021

Our postdoc member Nicolò Defenu (ETH Zurich, GM Graf’s group) is in the organizing committee of the 1st Workshop on Low Dimensional Quantum Many Body Systems (July 12-16, 2021)

The workshop is currently planned in a hybrid format. Early registrations will be given priority for contributed talks and in person attendance. Registration for the online event will be possible until the week before the event.

About the event

The phenomena observed in quantum many-body systems in one and two dimensions differ strongly from those in three-dimensional ones, due to much stronger quantum and critical fluctuations. Recent achievements both in cold atoms and solid state experiments offer novel stringent test for theoretical predictions and methods. The workshop will gather senior and young researchers in the field, to discuss the state of the art and future perspectives of current theoretical approaches.
