The group of Matthias Gaberdiel (ETH Zurich) invites applications for a number of postdoc positions in theoretical or mathematical physics, starting in the autumn of 2023.
One of the positions will be part of the Simons Collaboration on Confinement and the QCD String.
Positions are usually for two years, with the possibility of an extension to three years, depending on availability and performance. The research interests of the group include quantum field theory, quantum gravity, string theory, conformal field theory, and integrability. Most of the group activities take place jointly with the group of Niklas Beisert and Johannes Broedel; the group has also close connections to the group of Giovanni Felder and Rahul Pandharipande in Mathematics.
