Our member Corinna Ulcigrai (UZH) is the recipient of the 2020 Brin Prize for Dynamical Systems for her fundamental work on the ergodic theory of locally Hamiltonian flows on surfaces, of translation flows on periodic surfaces and wind-tree models, and her seminal work on higher genus generalizations of Markov and Lagrange spectra.

"The Brin Prize for Dynamical Systems, is 'an international prize for outstanding work in the theory of dynamical systems and related areas. The goal of the prize is to recognize mathematicians who have made substantial impact in the field at an early stage of their careers." Read more about the Prize

Due to the current situation, the official prize ceremony, originally planned as part of the Mayland dynamical systems conference on 18th April 2020, has been postponed to 10th April 2021. Read more
