PhD positions at ETHZ

1 Mar 2016

EDIT : The positions have been filled.

The groups of Profs. Niklas Beisert, Matthias Gaberdiel and Christoph Keller at the Institute for Theoretical Physics and the Department of Mathematics at ETH Zürich invite applications from prospective PhD students who are interested in performing research in the area of Quantum Field Theory, Quantum Gravity, String Theory or Conformal Field Theory.

Candidates are expected to hold a degree equivalent to a Master of Science prior to starting their PhD studies at ETH Zürich.

Apart from research, PhD students will contribute to the teaching of exercise classes within the theoretical physics curriculum at ETH Zurich. The PhD positions are fully funded, and appointment is typically for 3-4 years. The position may begin in the summer or fall of 2016.

In order to apply, candidates should supply a curriculum vitae and information on their previous study. Furthermore, two established scientists should send in reference letters in support of the application. Further information about how to apply can be found on the website.

Deadline for primary consideration is 1 March 2016.
