New Members : Martijn Hidding (ETHZ) & Anthony Houppe (ETHZ)

19 Nov 2023

Welcome to Martijn Hidding and Anthony Houppe.

Martijn is a theoretical physicist with a passion for applying mathematics to solve problems in physics. He obtained his PhD at the School of Mathematics, Trinity College Dublin, specializing in scattering amplitudes in gauge theories and the mathematics of multiloop Feynman integrals. He’s currently working as a postdoctoral researcher in theoretical physics at ETH Zurich, with a focus on special functions in QFT and string amplitudes, and numerical methods for Feynman integrals.

Anthony has worked as a PhD student in IPhT Saclay with Profs Iosif Bena and Nicholas Warner. His research has been centered around microstate geomeries and holography. In particular, he worked on the construction of non-supersymmetric microstrate geometries of the BTZ black hole and their CFT duals.

New Members : Sebastian Ellis (UNIGE), Kara Farnsworth (UNIGE) & Maximilian Schwick (UNIGE)

Departing members : Ramon Miravitllas Mas (UNIGE), Anton Nedelin (UNIGE) & Olga Trapeznikova (UNIGE)
