New member: Ioannis Kalogerakis (UniBE, S. Reffert Group)

Ioannis Kalogerakis did his Bachelor at the University of Patras, Greece, with the specialization “Theoretical, computational physics and Astrophysics”and his bachelor thesis was, titled: “ Path Integral Approach in Quantum Gravity” under the supervision of Prof. Charis Anastopoulos. He finished his Master's in the Niels Bohr Institute of the University of Copenhagen, his master’s thesis, under the supervision of Prof. Troels Harmark, was titled: “Black Holes and Holographic Quantum Mechanics”.

He is currently doing a PhD in the group of Susanne Reffert at the Institute of Theoretical Physics at the University of Bern.

His research interests include: quantum and conformal field theories, string theory, gauge theories, holography, quantum gravity and all aspects of black hole physics and especially their quantum nature.
