New member: Marco Meineri (UNIGE, J. Sonner's Group)

14 Feb 2022

Welcome to our new Senior researchers member: Marco Meineri (UNIGE, J. Sonner's Group).

Maco is a quantum field theorist, interested in strongly coupled physics at low and high energy. His main activity revolves around the effects of boundaries and defects in quantum and conformal field theories. Defects show up in a wide range of physical phenomena, from the effect of heavy charged particles in gauge theories to the interface of strongly and weakly gravitational regions in spacetime.

He recently moved from CERN to the University of Geneva, where he plans to work on the conformal bootstrap, the S-matrix bootstrap, and aspects of the black-hole information paradox that are related to the physics of defects.
