New member: Manus Visser (UNIGE, J. Sonner Group)

22 Jun 2020

Manus Visser is a postdoc at the Departement of Theoretical Physics in Geneva, in the group of Julian Sonner. In 2019 he completed his PhD in string theory at the University of Amsterdam under the supervision of Prof. Erik Verlinde. He is broadly interested in classical and quantum gravity, and especially in the emergence of gravity from a holographic description. Recently, he has extended the gravitational thermodynamics of black holes to spacetime regions called causal diamonds. He is currently working on the entropy of non-stationary black holes in the context of higher curvature theories of gravity.
