New member: Giulia Mazzola (ETH Zurich, R. Renner's Group)

20 Feb 2023

Welcome to our new PhD student member: Giulia Mazzola (ETH Zurich, R. Renner's Group).

Giulia completed her master studies at ETH Zurich and conducted her master’s project in the area of quantum computing at IBM –Research in Zurich. The focus of her doctoral studies lie at the intersection between quantum information theory, black hole physics, and foundations of quantum theory. The aim of her research is to apply quantum information-theoretic tools in analysing the process of black hole evaporation, forming an ideal playground to study the interplay between quantum physics and gravity.

Phase I & II research project(s)

  • Quantum Systems

New member: Jiaxin Qiao (EPFL, V. Gorbenko's Group)
