Monthly maths problem from RTSdécouverte - Crossing a river

28 Nov 2018

We invite you to solve the English version of the RTSdécouverte monthly problem:

Crossing a river

A family needs to cross a river and there is only one small boat. The father weighs 80 kg, the mother 75 kg, the son 40 kg, the daughter 38 kg and the small dog about 5 kg. The catch is that the boat can carry a maximum load of 80 kg. How can the whole family cross the river? (No-one can swim!)

Stay tuned for the solution in our next Newsletter…
