Kinetic Theory, Fluid Mechanics and Microscopic Systems: Mathematical Facets of the Physical World

25 Mar 2026

Mikaela Iacobelli (ETH Zurich) and Chiara Saffirio (UniBas) are contributing to the conference Kinetic Theory, Fluid Mechanics and Microscopic Systems: Mathematical Facets of the Physical World, (Rome, 3-5 June) organised in Rome.

Mikaela is among the invited speakers, and Chiara is part of the organising committee.

The aim of the meeting is to bring together researchers working on the mathematical connections between microscopic and macroscopic scales, with a focus on interacting particle systems and kinetic and fluid equations. The conference is organized in honour of Mario Pulvirenti on the occasion of his 80th birthday.

Registration deadline 24th May.
