goMATH (ETH Zurich, 14-25 March)

This year goMATH will take place at ETH Zurich from 14 to 25 March. goMATH stands for going the MATH way and was launched in 2019. It gives a label to the women's and young talent development programme at the ETH Zurich Department of Mathematics.

 

The goMATH programme comprises a series of annual activities as well as a major event that takes place every three years and which is accompanied by an exhibition in the ETH Main Hall. In addition to the exhibition "The Shape of Space" inviting visitors to think about and play with two-​ and three-​dimensional spaces and to familiarize themselves with topology, the mathematical study of shapes; this year's goMATH also will include a series of outreach events for young children.

 

We are glad to announce that on this occassion, our member Mikaela Iacobelli is part of the organizing committee together with Meike Akveld (Co-​Chair), Emmanuel Kowalski (Co-​Chair), Habib Ammari and Alessandra Iozzi; and our member Maryna Viazovska  will be the first speaker of the Alice Roth lecture series. The lectures will take place on 16 March 2022.
