Departing members: Nikita Nikolaev (UNIGE, A. Alekseev Group)

20 Jan 2021

In March 2021, Nikita will start his Research Associate position in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Sheffield, where Nikita’s mentor will be Tom Bridgeland. His recent work explains that Donaldson-Thomas invariants can be naturally described as Stokes data of singular flat connections. Their plan is to use Nikita’s expertise in meromorphic connections and the exact WKB method in order to answer a range of fascinating questions at this new interface between algebraic geometry, complex analysis, and mathematical physics.

Phase I & II research project(s)
