30 Mar 2023

The certificate ceremony for the UNIGE Athena program was held on Tuesday 29th March at the Faculty of Science. We are pleased to announce that compared to previous years, this year's participants not only achieved a higher exam success rate but there was also as an increase in the number of certificates awarded. In addition, several scholarships were awarded.

Our Science Officer, Elise Raphael provided insights into the experiences of students in the program and their accomplishments.

About Athena

Athena is a semester-long program in physics and mathematics, supported by SwissMAP and organised by the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Geneva for high school students. It is aimed at secondary school students in their last or penultimate year of secondary school who are interested in discovering university studies in physics and mathematics, and possibly getting a head start in their studies. The program offers students the chance to participate in one of a selected number of courses taught in the first semester at the University of Geneva, giving them an insight into student life. The participants are also offered additional tutoring.
